About Us

SlapWeh.com brings you the latest in Caribbean entertainment. Launched in early 2013, we hope to become the premiere spot for everything Dancehall and Reggae music. We provide fresh content updated regularly.

Reggae music has been around since the late 1960s and our primary goal is to push this genre even further by exposing it to all corners of the world. In addition to globalizing Caribbean music, we strive to spread our rich culture whenever an opportunity presents itself.

With everything said, we would like to thank our readers for their continued support in helping us reach our goal. First time visitors we would like to extend a warm welcome (sharing is caring, so if you enjoy your stay please help spread the good word).

What does the slang “Slap Weh” mean?

Slap Weh typically means that something is awesome, great or excellent. The slang started in early 2012 and was made popular in the dancehall space by recording artists, dancers and party goers.

RDX dropped a single titled “Summer Slap Weh”, produced by Apt 19 Music in 2012. Elephant Man released a track titled “Slap Weh” featuring Khago on the ‘Overtime Riddim’ produced by JA Productions that same year.
